Is there a future of work — beyond survival?

More and more companies are cutting the number of workdays, and the discussion of #workhours continues along with debates about time off work. The topic of engagement is versatile, and the number of domains impacted is many. One thing that appears is the relation between meaning, shared purpose, connection, and loneliness — if you feel instrumentalized, you perceive work and your role as an instrument to functionally excel, and you don’t feel human. In the words of Rosa:

“This means that the resonant axes of work and family, so central to modernity, here also fall silent. Hence the identifiable crisis of the working world and family life can and should also be analyzed in terms of a theory of resonance”. [part 1 (ibid)]
